A “Regulated Health Professional”, who has received appropriate training at an educational organization which trains and certifies individuals to practice acupuncture and who adheres to the standards of their Regulatory Colleges, can be approved to provide acupuncture treatment.” “Health Professionals should request pre-approval from the WSIB before they begin acupuncture treatment, since each request is looked at on a case by case basis and it is not a given that the WSIB will allow acupuncture in every case.”
